This motor is a very common failure on 48RE transmissions from 2005-2009. When a shifting problem occurs MTS recommends replacing this motor first, before replacing governor pressure sensor and governor pressure sensor. This motor is on outside of transmission {driver side} and is retained with 2 bolts, very simple fix.
